On Writing : BIOGRAPHICAL EPIC..An Inheritance From Yorkshire by Michelle York

It's taken over 20 years since I requested the Author to write out his lifes' story..A Biographical Epic. I had to decide (which was very difficult) how to bring these stories to life. Finally, a decision was made..No one could play 'Yorky' The Author would read the stories on video..a chapter at a time. There are 35 years of stories & so far I have keyed in quite a few but that is just the tip of the iceberg..I pray that I will live long enough to see them done! I come from a time without TV..only radio. A special time was Saturday morning at the local library, sitting on the little chairs while the reader would read the stories and show the pictures..My love of books began there.. This attempt reminds me of Mickey Rooney & Judy Garland deciding to put on a show to get some money to save the orphanage! Not as professional as I would like..lights, setting etc..this is a first time attempt! The ultimate goal is to travel to the locations where the stories take place..England, India, Australia, United States..and have the author read/tell the stories. At first he would only read from the stories but after a few were finished, he decided he could tell the stories 'off the cuff'.
