1st Time Filmmaking Question RE: Camera & Operator

I'm thinking about investing into a Sony PXW-FS5 XDCAM Super 35 Camera System with Zoom Lens and someone to operate it.

It's specifications are:

Super 35-Sized CMOS Sensor

Sony E-Mount

UHD at 24/30 FPS, HD Up to 240 FPS

XAVC Long, AVCHD Recording Codecs

2 x SD Media Card Slots

HD/3G-SDI & HDMI Output

Includes 18 to 105mm Zoom Lens

Supports Wi-Fi and NFC

Outputs 4K/2K RAW with Upgrade

This would be my first camera purchase and I wanted to see if anyone in here had any experience or insight of the product performance on a 1st hand basis before I buy

Also, I'm trying to find sound and lighting to properly compliment it, so if someone can point me in the right direction that'd be great.

Thanks!

Dave

At the risk of oversimplifying it, cameras today are like saws and hammers- they all do the job in the hands of a craftsman. Some are more suited to some tasks than others. Unlike carpentry, cameras are subject to whims of fashion that don't really come from usability but from murmuring or opinions.

FS5 is not nearly as common in most professional work as FS7. What do you want to know exactly ?
