Hello everyone,
I've written some screenplays and short films but I wanted to know if anyone has had any success in pitching their script and getting it optioned or bought by a producer. I'm trying to decide whether to do pitches to producers or enter the screenwriting contest or both. My loglines and synopsis for my screenplays are in my profile.
Thanks,

Depending on where in the industry you think you sit realistically. If you write indie style direct to download stuff then contests. If you win the big ones you may get the eye of an agent or producer that could get you in the door. Otherwise become a writer's assistant. Low pay hard to get job. But most go on to become writers.
