I'm getting ready to start writing my first screenplay. I use a Mac. Can anyone recommend Mac-friendly screenwriting software? Also, when I submit my screenplay electronically to agents and producers do I need to worry about compatibility issues if they don't have the same software I wrote my script with? Thanks!

Don't know much about the Mac environment, but when you send out a copy of your script - it will/must be in the form of a .pdf (I assume you're not co-writing with someone else).
Final Draft software, and when you submit your script to anyone, you send them a PDF, you'll only need to send the editable file once your script is bought so at this point in your career, you won't need to worry about that.
