Introduce Yourself : Drama Teacher in NYC by Lindsay Shields

I teach drama to underserved high school students in NYC. They just got accepted to the Edinburgh Fringe- the only group of students from New York to be accepted! They are writing an original musical about Emily Warren Roebling, the woman who engineered the Brooklyn Bridge after her husband fell ill in the 1870s. It's an incredible story about immigration, women's rights, and history. Most of my kids live at or below the poverty line, so their families can't afford to help them on their journey.
