Hi everyone.yes, I know that they are readily available in droves, but I am seeking someone who can capture CHARACTER!!!!I I see so many pix , so many smiles, so many looks even without smiles, but their essence isn't visible. IF you understand what I am asking for I would appreciate a referral and please to all other photographers I mean no disrespect. Thank you for understanding and acknowledging my request..........JM

Hello Johanna,
I completely understand your concern. As an Image Wrangler who has been photographing actor faces for a minute now it is my humble opinion that the issue lies with both the person behind the lens as well as that individual in front of it. If the person you trusted to "take your headshot" doesn't understand the very nature of this animal - that acting for headshots is no different than acting for a motion camera - then you've already wasted your time and money. Should you happen to find yourself on my site you'll see the tagline "Create With Character" because that's exactly what we hope to accomplish during a 'TedShot' session.

I'm very much a character actress and understand this plight too well. There are 3 I've shot with that are in LA that do great work. Paul Smith, Peter Carrier, Katina Forte. Happy shooting!
