FANTASY QUESTION: Do you have an OSCAR acceptance speech ready?

That's why it is a FANTASY question not a CRAFT question. It's Saturday in Manhattan. Did the laundry. Cleaned the apartment. Want to have a little fun. On your marks. Get set. SHARE!

Steven Harris Anzelowitz

Sorry- Really should have put this in ANYTHING GOES!

Steven Harris Anzelowitz

Pamela- Honest answer. I have mine ready. It is under 30 seconds. But I want to wait for some more responses from the community.

Doug Nelson

No, I'm reasonably confident that there's no need. Be careful Pamela, you can easily become intoxicated on to much accolade.

Tom Batha

Nah. I'll just Woody Allen it.

Dan MaxXx

Woody is great courting young children. I wouldn’t let that dude near a preschool. Makes great films though.

Tom Batha

Well, I meant Woody on account of he never shows up at the Oscars.

Dan MaxXx

Pamela Bolinder stop policing forums.

Steven Harris Anzelowitz

Still waiting for someone to give their acceptance speech. That was the core of the FANTASY question not attacking Directors that did not even SHOW when they won.

Victor Titimas

Ok, let's dream:.. :)

The stage is set. All lights are on. Here is what I would say(assuming I can beat my shyness which is so great, if I see a real industry member, especially a famous one, I'd run like hell) :

"(after the intro), I'd like to thank everyone who worked so hard for this project to become true, to mean more than just 335kb on a hard drive!

Through years of hard work and dedication, you made something that would last for decades. I still watch good movies from the 90s or 80s...

This is an amazing moment, and I am so grateful my eyes could see and my heart could feel this special time. I hope you enjoy watching this movie.

And to all the writers out there, don't ever lose hope. If I, just a regular guy with no film school, and with English as second language could get this far, so can you! You too can be part of this magic. Hope to see you here next year!

Now be merry tonight, and may your joy last for many nights and days, through a long and prosperous life. Now, it's time to parttyyy, people! Let's open that champagne...:)"

Maybe I'll change it a bit, but judging how good I am as a writer, an Oscar speech is not to worry about.

The likelihood of me battling a colony of ETs from Pluto and marrying the USAF intelligence officer whom they kept hostage in a high-tech fortress from the 7th dimension is greater than me getting an Oscar...:))

Pierre Langenegger

Why is it inappropriate for Dan to state the truth about Woody Allen?

Kevin Carothers

It would depend on how much I loved or hated the team.

Yes, a lot of times teams can't stand each other but make an awesome movie.

I'd still be nice, though.

Steven Harris Anzelowitz

Victor- Thank you for being the ONLY fellow "HAPPY WRITER" that gave an acceptance speech. It's really great when the thread question is answered. Usually about half the time. The other half is lively sometimes interesting discussion on the nature of why the question was asked. But, that's cool we are all writers by nature we are very competitive. In my opinion it is just EGO. And that's fine.

Aniko Szilagyi

Dear Steven, I do have a speech... kind of ready... It’s not written but I know what I would say... Sending you much Love and Light!

Jacob Buterbaugh

When I get to where I want to be, porn stars who are trying to go mainstream will be starring in my movies. I really don't think an Oscar speech is in the cards for me.

I just want to entertain my audience, and help them forget about their worries, troubles, and struggles for 80-85 minutes, while I become the best storyteller and filmmaker I can be.

Steven Harris Anzelowitz

Aniko- Glad you're ready. Wishing much love an support on YOUR journey to the RED CARPET!!

Aniko Szilagyi

Dear Steven, thank you so very much! I also wish you all the best! Magic everywhere... And I hope I’ll see you there!
