Rodrigo D. Márquez (Rocko) has a BA in Communication from UP/GDL. Writer & director of a dozen short films, standing out “For Love”/11, “Nevertheless, it’s beautiful”/12 (Oaxaca, Lucerne), “Tropes of longing”/15 (Tequila International Film Fest) and “After Dark”/18 (Guadalajara International Film Fest (FICG33), New York Latino Film Festival presented by HBO 2018, México International Shorts Film Festival SHORTS MEXICO).
He currently directs the documentary feature film IMPOSTER(s) (Winner of the fund Proyecta Producción/18 of the Jalisco Ministry of Culture and of the LABEX Argentina/18; selected in the MICA Mexico/18 by the Mexican Institute of Cinematography (IMCINE), in the Incubator and Pitch Market of the Guanajuato International Film Fest/18, and in Campus Latino Lab of the Documentary Campus and Goethe Institut Mexico/17), and develops LALA (SANTIAGO LAB, SANFIC/18), his first fiction feature film. He’s member of the State Council for Culture and Arts of Jalisco.
