So, two weeks ago I posted this: https://www.stage32.com/lounge/introduce_yourself/Preparing-parts-for-up... ... and I wanted to update the same excerpt now with real instruments, to highlight the difference between sample libraries and the real deal. To all the filmmakers out there, there are too many reasons to go into why it's good practice to include in your budget enough to cover real musicians... I am pretty good at making approximations and getting the MIDI to sound as natural as possible, but nothing beats the sound of a human being playing notes based on my original score. Virtual libraries are trying so hard to emulate the "human touch"... I'd argue good musicians already have it built in ;-) ... Enjoy!
