Hey all, stoked to be here and to experience inspiration from so many driven and motivated creatives. I've spent the majority of my life giving into my logical and practical mind, but it's time to squash that noise. I'm ready to let my creative soul run this operation. I just recently finished my first draft of my first spec screenplay, an action comedy, and I am working on dialing it in before sending it off for feedback and coverage.
That logical part of my life...that was spent doing software development (specifically web application development). In that world, developers will often get together to "talk shop" and discuss things they learned, comment on the landscape of software engineering, etc. I'm curious to find out if the writing world (and I guess the screenwriting world to be more specific) has something similar. Not a writing group per se in which everyone discusses their personal works and looks for help and feedback, but more of a "we all do the same thing so we can kick it and relate and talk the same language" type of get-together.
Looking forward to making more connections, being inspired, and providing support and inspiration as well!
Hey how are you doing? Im new to this here for networking.
