Hello everyone, I've been pitching my children's story as animation. I thought because of a couple of mythical characters, demons, etc... animation would be a better fit.
But animation tends to be expensive. Would live action, with some special effects, be a better choice? Should I be pitching that as live action family feature and not animation?
Would appreciate your insights.
Thanks.

Its a very basic choice you have to make, both live action and animation can be very expensive (when its done at a certain degree of quality). Did you do any research already? Have you talked to producers and directors? If you have a network of animation specialist its more obvious to look into that direction. If your just starting out, its best to do what comes natural, how did you envision your project while writing it.
Thank you Willem for your comment. I wrote it with animation in mind, as you said. So I'm going to go with my first instinct. --Thanks again & Best Regards

Animation will almost most certainly be more cost-effective. Focus on that first...
