Hi everyone! Hope you're doing well! This post is mostly for those who are based in the EU or have had an experience working in the EU as an actor.
I have a few questions. I'm from Ukraine and it's not the European Union. Nowadays a lot of ukrainian- or russian characters come up in the european or american (which shoot in the EU) movies and TVseries. So my questions are about work permit in the EU for actors:
1) How difficult for production to open a working visa for an actor? How long does it take?
2) Is it true that production or casting director even won't consider actor who doesn't have work permit or EU passport? But the character is genuine russian or ukrainian. Or my agent and I still can submit me for the role?
3) Can I get a work permit by myself, like general working visa for actors in EU (like O-1 visa in the US) does such a visa exist?
I will appriciate any answer and experience you will share. Maybe you know where to find such information.
