Need advice on creating a music video

I wrote a song, and found a recording artist to perform it. We are probably within just a few weeks of releasing it as a single (Spotify, iTunes, etc.). I'm also writing a novel (a time travel romance), and the song is based on the novel, so we're also planning to do a music video that doubles as a high-end book trailer, i.e., it will be her performance woven together with scenes from my book. The main 'scene' section will be the 30 second guitar solo section of the song between the bridge and the final chorus, so we can actually do dialogue from the scenes. So it comes down to this: I need to create a 30 second montage of selected scenes from the book that will add to the story of the song and hopefully also interest listeners in the book. I'd like it to feel like a movie trailer. But I am not a director, producer, screenwriter, any of that, and it feels a bit overwhelming. I just write songs and stories. Any advice? Thanks in advance. :)

Joe, I applaud your efforts in bringing your work to life. Sounds like you're making great progress on an intriguing premise. Based on your comments, you'd likely benefit from collaborating with an accomplished screenwriter to obtain the movie trailer "feel" that you wish to achieve.
