1917 was a fantastic movie! The story itself isn't true (I interviewed the Senior Curator at the National WWI Museum and Memorial about the historical accuracy of the movie on my podcast) but that doesn't diminish how they captured the essence of what it might've been like during that time. I would not be surprised to see it sweep its nominated categories at the Oscars.
