Congratulations to all the other brilliant writers who’ve also been selected! As a gay man writing diverse characters where their diversity isn’t their sole definition, where LGBTIQA+ characters get to save the day too, just like we do in the real world, I’m thrilled to see a competition program like this giving people of all kinds of diverse backgrounds the chance to tell our stories.
