Who here hates a remake? - BUT - If you could remake or get a part 2 - which one would you choose?

I personally hate a remake and I think it's dipping in the low end of the creative pool to remake a good film for a fast buck.

Mind you, I have no problem with making money, I just think that remakes are a bad choice creatively.

Prove me wrong: comment a remake that is actually better than the original!

Let the remakes of Fame, Footloose, Beauty & the Beast, Cats ... inspire the conversation!

I continually use #RejectTheRemake on social media CONSTANTLY. I encourage all writers to do the same. There are SO many great, new, fresh ideas... rehashing what's been done stifles the chances of them reaching the screen.
