My name is Kevin and I am a fledgling screenwriter with a finished feature and several shorts under my ample belt. I live in sunny Palm Springs, but I tend to write very dark horror.
My WIP is called Appetite. It is a gay-focused, bloody tale and ends on a decidedly unhappy note, so It will never see the light of day! LOl That's okay because I loved writing it and I've started to submit it to competitions. I've gotten some very good feedback including one reader calling my script " ...one of the grossest, sickest, most depraved, disgusting, and viscerally uncomfortable horror scripts I've read in a while. All of those things are compliments." It was awarded runner-up at the most recent Southern California Screenplay Competition and has won several smaller festivals.
I tend to be a bit of an introvert, but I've been on Stage 32 for a while now and would love to get to know other horror writers. If you write queer horror, please step to the front of the line.
Nice to virtually meet you all!!

Sounds gruesomely cool, Kevin! I'm a novelist/comic book writer, not a screenwriter, but I've written a bunch of horror--my own originals and works set in the worlds of 30 Days of Night (I also edited many of the 30 DoN comics when I was EIC at IDW Publishing), Buffy, Angel, and others. I'm a two-time finalist for the Bram Stoker Award and a finalist for the International Horror Guild Award. Good to meet another horror aficionado here.

Great to meet you virtually, Kevin Sean Mann. I write different genres. Horror is one of them.

I loved the "30 Days of Night" movie. So brutal! I'll have to look for the comic. Congratulations on your finalist placements!!! That is so amazing! Nice to meet you.

Nice to virtually meet you, Maurice. Do you pronounce your name "More-esse," or "Morris"?

Maurice Vaughan ...OMG ... I thought it was "Mor -reece" Dang. My bad. Kevin Sean Mann - be sure and check out the Writer's Room!
Cherelynn Baker, you're right. It's "Mor-reece/reese." I replied to Kevin Sean Mann's comment too fast. Haha I should've double checked (like I do with my scripts).
