I just finished my first TV Pilot and outline for a TV series. I found I really enjoyed developing the story of a Canadian woman who returns to her homeland in Afghanistan with her son and is caught in the Taliban take over. Taking the risk of writing about something I knew little, except for what was in the news, I spent the last year researching and talking to people from Afghanistan. I would love to continue to work on this story and would be interested in talking to anyone who has input. I am entering into my final year in Creative Writing at University and found script writing is definitely my passion.

Hey Joyce good stuff. Have you ever tried some our next level classes? Our education is more hands on than some film schools and our industry professionals are current and working in the business. Plus sour classes are so much more affordable. Good luck with you pilot.
Hi, Joyce Smith. Welcome to the community and the Writers' Room. The Writers' Room has tons of resources (the Open Writing Assignments, the Vault, the discounts, etc.). Congrats on finishing your first TV pilot and outline! It sounds like you put a lot of effort and work into the show. You can post it in the logline section of your page when you're ready. People can rate the logline and give feedback on the logline/synopsis/pilot. Looking forward to seeing you around the lounges!
