Dan MaxXx What else can you get from them except money? Is there a good chance of finding a manager (or them finding you), if you get to the finals? Is there a chance of making the movie with their help, if they believe in your story so much?

Milicia: It's considered the gold standard of screenplay contests, and you compete against approximately 10,000 writers. However, even getting a semi-finalist spot might get some script reads from industry people.

Milica A. I wouldnt worry about making the spec to movie. Worry about getting a paying job asap with a Nicholls finalist award.

google finalist winners and check who/what they have done. From memory, the dude who directed Marvel's Shang Chi is a former Nicholls winner. I think he did make his Nicholls spec into a movie.
