Overcoming Barriers to Successfully Complete a Film Screenplay!

In April 2014, I began writing my first film screenplay which was queried by a producer last Spring and has just now been completed in February 2023.

This is my first ever full-length film feature screenplay and I am so proud of myself. Anyone who has followed my career path for the last decade is well aware that scriptwriting class was the worst challenge for me of any class set I had.

I worried so much that I would never get it, but I just finished a monumental craft that I am so thrilled to have completed.

I can't wait to see where this venture takes me but completing this screenplay has given me a pure boost of confidence and this is a moment I'm celebrating a little achievement that ultimately, to me, is huge.

I wanted to mention to everyone that I was in college when I started this script. I have several other scripts and loglines, treatments, and story bibles and will be completing them as well.

I had to finish college twice, help my son through life support, battle homelessness, being displaced, having my relationships with abusive people keep me from succeeding, and a number of things I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.

This, however, is the start of a new chapter of life for me and my writing career across several mediums of transmedia is certain to lift me to where I've always dreamed of being. And the reason is hard work, dedication, drive, and a life mission to tell stories to people; to entertain, to educate, and to inspire.

Thank you for your support over these many years, and here's to the next era of my life.
