Introduce Yourself : Sam Kitchin by Sam Kitchin

Sam Kitchin

Hello all! I am a long time vested AEA and Sag-Aftra professional actor who more or less ran my course with acting. I was not trained as an actor in school, but I followed my sister who got her MFA into the world and after I graduated from Tulane University, I proclaimed, "I want to be an actor!" So I was pretty successful at it but lost my interest in that end of the performing arts and some 7 years ago turned to my first effort at screenwriting. I got obsessed with a story which I imagined as an episodic and so that is what I am finally attempting to get to market.

The Refused: The Evolutionary Years of the Impressionists. www.therefusedepisodic.com.

I just finished the pitch deck and am formally beginning the pitch process. I also am half way through another completely different animal, a feature which is a feel good family sports story set in the American south in the 50's. Any connections with producers (obviously) or any other individuals out there who wanted to do coverage, discuss, trade thoughts, whatever...would be greatly appreciated. My pitch deck creator Maya Zivkovich sent me to Stage 32. Allow me to give Maya a shout out to anyone wanting professional assistance in creating their pitch deck. Have a great day! Sam

I am fairly certain those requests will come very soon, thank you. I signed up April 19th for my first sign up pitch event with Gregory Hughes. Now that my pitch deck template is complete, I can use that as my guide. I was struggling with this first pitch deck but I think it came out well if you cared to provide feedback it would be greatly appreciated. I am extremely tight as to what I can invest beyond time and effort which needs to change but little by little...based largely on the type of feedback I receive. I am sure you understand! Thanks, Sam

Nice to meet you, Sam Kitchin. I know Maya. She did a great job on the pitch deck! Tulane has the green wave mascot, right?
