Aloha! I was born and raised in Hawaii. I'm currently living in Oakland, just outside of Orlando. But I did also live in Oakland, CA for almost two years. I have a film production degree and an English Degree/Creative Writing Minor with an emphasis on screenwriting and fiction. I studied film production so I can understand the costs of a script and what to consider, especially in order to stay within budget. I did my thesis on book-to-film adaptation. I am excited to become part of this community and grateful for everyone's time. Thank you for creating The Writer's Room.

The best way to network here on Stage 32, is just to put yourself out there by posting, commenting, and connecting with people from all over the world. The most effective networking comes from building genuine relationships over time. A great way to start is by checking out the Lounges where you can join discussions, pose questions that you may have, provide advice or insights, and share news/announcements that interest you.
Additionally, I recommend that you add a profile picture of yourself. If you don’t have a photo on your account, you won’t show up in search results and people won’t be able to see your work. It's always easier to connect with people when they can put a face to a name. It adds a personal touch that can be so important online.
