Wanna know how the audience would deal with controversy.

As a screenwriter, you're always trying to create as many memorable scenes as possible. However, you might sometimes go beyond borders (What people say) and that can possibly get you black balled.

In my script, a very controversial person who did terrible things to America resurrects from the dead (Ossama Bin Laden). Since I as well try to incorporate as much humor as possible in my script, there's a scene where Ossama Bin Laden was freestyling (rapping). He wasn't even bragging about what he did to America in his freestyle, he's just just bragging about the terrorist side of him. But I fear people might find this very offensive especially victims of the 9/11 attacks. I'll like to know from y'all and even Americans themselves what they'll think about such lyrics if they saw this in a film. Like I didn't conclude or take sides. I just created humor based on Ossama Bin Laden's personality but I fear it might lead to hate rather than love. So fellow comrades, what do you advise me to do?

(I could have posted the lyrics themselves as well but it might be seen as very offensive)

Mel Brooks made a movie about Hitler on Broadway!

Write the spec and show ppl your execution/storytelling. Forget the movie. At this stage you gotta write fantastic spec samples. Not selling specs or marketing.

Are you hirable - thats the checkmate endgame.

Years ago, an unknown writer wrote a Seinfeld spec about 9-11 plane crash into Twin Towers. I think he got a tv staff job off the spec. GL!
