Hi! I’m Miguel Gómez, a screenwriter from Cancun, Mexico
Hi! I’m Miguel Gómez, a screenwriter from Cancun, Mexico. I write epic stories blending mythology, action, and real-life events. Always looking to connect and bring stories to life!
Thank you for introducing yourself, Miguel Gomez! Your passion for blending mythology, action, and real-life events sounds like a recipe for some truly epic storytelling.
If you’re looking to connect with fellow writers and filmmakers, the Screenwriting Lounge is a great place to discuss craft, share insights, and network with creatives who can help bring your stories to life. You can check it out here: https://www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting.
Looking forward to seeing more of your work! What mythologies or historical events are inspiring you the most right now?
Thank you for your kind words! I truly appreciate the encouragement. Mythology has always fascinated me, and right now, I'm deeply inspired by Mayan legends, particularly the myths surrounding Kukulkán. There's so much untapped potential in these ancient stories that blend history, mysticism, and epic conflicts.
I'm also interested in real-life events that intertwine with these myths—things like lost civilizations, hidden temples, and unexplored aspects of Mesoamerican culture. The Prophecy of Kukulkán is my passion project, and I’m excited to bring it to life with the right team.
I’ll definitely check out the Screenwriting Lounge—connecting with fellow writers and filmmakers sounds like an amazing opportunity. Looking forward to sharing more and exchanging ideas!
What about you? Are there any mythologies or historical events that inspire your storytelling?
That sounds like such an incredible passion project, Miguel Gomez! I love seeing mythology woven into storytelling, especially when it brings underrepresented legends and histories to life. I’m probably most familiar with Greek mythology since that was my favorite to read as a kid, but I also picked up a book about Polynesian stories while in Maui for my honeymoon, and I really enjoyed it!
As a fantasy reader and comic book geek, mythology is at the core of most of my favorite content. It’s amazing how these stories continue to evolve and inspire new generations of storytellers.
