Introducing myself as DOP / camera operator

Hi, I’m a camera operator with a passion for capturing real, meaningful moments. I specialize in documentaries, corporate videos, ads, and short films, and I love helping stories come to life in a way that connects with audiences. I shoot primarily with the Sony FX6, aiming to create cinematic visuals that feel authentic and impactful. Always happy to collaborate and learn from others in the field! My Vimeo page is here https://vimeo.com/user171400699

Enchanté de vous rencontrer, la comédie pour enfants a l'air amusante et ma préférée est "Hook"

You're welcome, Andres Kostiv. Fantastic showreel! What's your favorite shot/one of your favorite shots in film?

Andres Kostiv

I like 80s Panavision film tape vibe and less bokeh like "Naked Gun 33 1/3 opening: https://youtu.be/L3QkIruVNEI?si=bS2yzpu3DRri7LQD

That scene is hilarious, Andres Kostiv!! Sorry, I meant to put what's your favorite shot/one of your favorite shots to use in film?

Jordan Smith

Welcome Andres! I am insanely jealous you were able to secure a mall for filming a project. The John Hughes and Kevin Smith fanboy in me would kill for an opportunity like that! Welcome!

Andres Kostiv

Jordan Smith Thanks for feedback and indeed we did secure shopping mall's 2 & 3 floor 3 days in a row from 3pm to 9pm and shoppers could visit shops between takes. Here is electronic preas kit with storyboards and BTS photos in the end https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/178XJWadcc1nVUTjEHMuMkhSeDwYFrV4bC7g\_LxQ5--A/edit

Ashley Renee Smith thanks for the suggestion on cinematography lounge

Maurice Vaughan

That's a great shot, Andres Kostiv! What's the name of the shot? I remember there was a video on Stage 32 about the different shots in cinematography, but I can't think of the names.

Andres Kostiv

Thats a two take, wide shot

Maurice Vaughan

Thanks, Andres Kostiv. Oh yeah, wide shot. That's one of my favorite shots. I just remembered another one of my favorites. The close-up.
