Hello amazing Stage 32 community!
My name is Haliz Mustafa — a writer, mother, and entrepreneur from Iraq. My journey began in pain but evolved into a message of hope. As a mother to a daughter with Down syndrome, I’ve gained a new perspective on life and a powerful purpose: to empower and support children with special needs, and to share my story with the world.
I wrote a book titled “Joori”, which tells the story of my personal journey as a mother, and the challenges I faced — not just as a parent, but as a woman who chose to be a voice for those silenced in a traditional society that often fails to embrace differences. Today, I’m on a mission to adapt this book into a cinematic film that inspires and transforms perceptions about these extraordinary children.
Beyond writing, I founded an online store named after my daughter, Joori Boutique, and launched an e-learning academy to support mothers and encourage women to start their own projects despite all odds.
