Hiya new, old and timeless denizens of Stage 32!
If you're new, welcome! This is gonna be fun. Basically, if it's not fun, you're not doing it right. OK, I know what you're asking, what makes it fun? And for the answer, eh hem, the envelope please… what makes it fun, is you and your participation. Aye, it really is that simple. What you put in, you're likely gonna get out, and by factors of magnitude.
Me? I've been here for years. I've learned a lot. The first and foremost thing I've learned is that by engaging with the people here, in an open and honest exchange of ideas, you will find a community that supports you and enhances your growth professionally, intellectually and emotionally. Let's just say, over the years, I have seriously grown up.
I don't do social media. I guess I just never had the emotional IQ for it -- back then, in the dark ages. And I blundered onto stage 32 thinking, 'I'm here! I am brilliant. Recognize my stupendously film worthy ideas, and make my movie, already!' Hoooo man... that was a gong show. All I wanted was for people to support me, and I really didn't give a crap about anybody else's stuff. I mean how could I? I was brilliant. I was going to change the universe. The film industry needed me, and if stage 32 was the crack under the door I could slide a crowbar into...
Flash forward a whole bunch of years.
The lights have come on. No, not the lightbulb over my head -- I unscrewed it to put in an energy saving LED, and then, maybe in the darkness, that's when I saw it; There is brilliance here. It's all over the place. If I started naming names this post would need to be divided into chapters, maybe even area codes. When I stopped pushing and started pulling (joining in), I started seeing this community, the whole Industry, in a whole new light. I see stories in a whole new way. I see zillions of stories, some good, some just starting out but with promise, and some that absolutely changed the way I think. But mostly, what I found out is that we're all in this together.

Repeat Introducer. :) Fantastic reintroduction, Morgan Aitken! It's fun participating on Stage 32. I didn't used to participate that much on here until RB gave the community a challenge during one of his live AMAs. My experience on Stage 32 has been night and day since.
