Do you ever visit filming locations...

I'm actually kinda lucky where I live as we have A LOT of filming, I love to go to filming locations and watch & learn anything I can without disturbing anyone. If someone is friendly, I try to talk to them for a few seconds to learn about what they do which is easy enough as most people like to talk about their job. I've learned the best place to stand is near the food truck or smoking area.

Does anyone else like to watch, listen, learn and possibly talk to crew members? Please share an experience you have had. - I met Justin Long a few weeks ago, he's a nice guy, very down to earth. It's best if you meet an actor to talk about something you have knowledge of and not like a fan.

Those are great ideas, Phil Savage! Thanks.

Hi Phil Savage, this makes great sense. Just to observe and soak it all in is cool, but to ask questions and get feedback is definitely a plus. I will definitely have to try it out, I also live where there is a lot of filming. I do however, seek out filming locations for my project, and go and feel the vibe, take pictures, videos and walk around and visualize.

You definitely need to come across as friendly and out going (but not too much) BUT do not just stand there and say nothing as people will think your a stalker lol.
