Just finished my fourth feature-length spec screenplay and am decelerating by writing a short script (somewhere between 20-40 pages, we’ll see). A short story can be such a unique challenge. Always takes longer than I thought it would. Always seems like it will be an easy project compared to a feature—but never ends up feeling that way. Anyone else working on a short?

Congratulations on finishing your fourth feature spec, Dutch Godshalk! I've been thinking about writing another short script. I pitch my shorts, use them as writing samples and practice, and write them for fun.
