My project : escaped

Hey everyone, I am gonna talk about my script Escaped. It is a horror script I have been walking on for a while. I first wrote it when I was in high school and I wanted to make it but the budget seemed too big for me and my group. I saw them giving up on it bacause we have no resources. No cameras, no adult actors and the locations seemed a bit hard to find since we didn't have the money. We are still in campus no wonder it just seemed impossible. I don't know how you guys did it to make it to where you are. There are great producers, directors, screenwriters and actors in this platform and I know all of them have a great story behind how they reached to where they are right now and I want to reach there too. Everyone wants to make it in life.

Back to my project Escaped. It talks about a serial killer who has just emerged in town killing people in brutal ways. As the story goes detective Martin and his team slowly unveil the killer's main target who turn out to be some students because of a dark past. I will post parts of the script and I'll be open to people's opinions about it especially my fellow screenwriters.

That's it for now. Have a great time.

Hey, Stacy Makori. I started writing scripts in high school too. The blog link and Community Open House link I put on your other post might help you find resources, a cast, a crew, and locations.

Make your own film with an iphone. Put it on vim.. or yout.... Build a track record. Then do a crowdfunder to raise money to make a bigger project, using what you have done as a track record. You must walk before you can run. Write with the locations and actors you have. LOTS of great locations everywhere, free.

Hey Stacy!

Your story is promising, even if it treads on familiar grounds. The only thing I can tell you is to make your serial killer fully fleshed out with logical motivations. A great slasher story, in my opinion, is when you can relate to the antagonist's backstory and compelling protagonists.
