Introduce Yourself : Scripts to Read by Addison Martinez

Scripts to Read

Hi Everyone,

As a recently laid off network attorney (got to love corporate restructuring), I have put all of my energy into writing pilot scripts (with my first ready to go and the next few in various stages of ideation/development) as my goal is to make a career transition into TV writing.

I am looking to build my network of writers, and would love to read more scripts, as I know the more scripts I read, the better writer I will become.

If you are open to sharing your work, I would very much like to read it.

Thanks,

Addison

Hi, Addison Martinez. Welcome to the community. Sorry to hear you got laid off.

Stage 32 has a blog that'll help you navigate the platform and connect with creatives and industry professionals all over the world. Writers, producers, directors, executives, actors, and more. www.stage32.com/blog/how-to-successfully-navigate-the-stage-32-platform-...

Stage 32’s free Community Open House will also help you navigate Stage 32 and connect with creatives and industry pros (www.stage32.com/education/products/stage-32-s-august-community-open-house).

You could post your pilot script on your profile. Producers search profiles for projects. That and networking are how I sold four short scripts to a producer. Click the gear symbol in the top right-hand corner and select “Edit profile” in the drop-down menu. Scroll down to “Loglines” and click “Add/edit loglines” to the right of “Loglines.” You can also post your script on your profile this way: www.stage32.com/loglines (near the top where it says “Add a Logline”)

You can read other members' scripts here too: www.stage32.com/loglines

I am kind of in a similar boat. Will email you. Would love to read how your pilot starts, if that's alright.
