As a VFX artist in training, I’m realizing that compositing is not just about matching lights and shadows it’s about building emotion through reality that never existed.
I’ve recently started focusing more seriously on Nuke, and every day I’m learning something new about storytelling through visual effects.
Curious to know: what was the first moment you realized VFX could change the way a story feels?

I don't remember the first moment, Behnam Hojati, but the VFX in Terminator 2: Judgment Day blew me away as a kid, and it made the movie scarier.

Behnam Hojati I don’t think there was ever a single “aha” moment for me. For me, it came gradually over time with experience and a genuine desire to develop better stories. You start out working on random shots, then realize the importance of telling a story, then learn how to tell that story effectively, and eventually you learn how to use VFX to enhance and elevate it. It’s a process, and each step builds on the last.
