Dear Fellow Scribes! Hope you're having a good week so far. I'm working on grant applications for my short film, and the bible for my sci fi anthology series. I would love some feedback on this piece. These are the rules of the universe.
The universe is the same world we know but exposes numerous magical elements that might never have been noticed. The animal guides and the barrier are shifting in time and space and their motivation is, in the beginning, unknown. As the series unfolds it’s clear the animal guide/barrier interferes in the lives of people whom they deem to be important and bring them to crucial realizations about themselves and the world around them.
The animal guide/barrier are not cruel in any way and have no desire to hurt people. As it is with many forces that interfere in humanity’s ongoing evolution, this force believes its motivations to be pure, kind, and vital to the safety of humanity. Eventually, the shifting dynamics will become more pronounced and some travellers will arrive at a crucial period in human history, or their actions are reminiscent of a famous episode in history that are explained at the end.

Hi, Ilanna Mandel. Hope you're having a good week so far too. Interesting universe!
“The animal guides and the barrier are shifting in time and space…” What does “barrier” mean in your story? The barrier between our world and the magical elements?

Ilanna Mandel I absolutely adore the concept, for one, very much in tune with my own personal feelings and journey. But also, this world has so much richness to it, the possibilities are endless. This seems like it would be a tone/genre explanation in the anthology bible, yes? Then, the natural flows feels like from here you would into the main characters, human and animal alike, and begin to dig into their own journeys. Fantastic idea!

I don't understand, and by background is in the sciences. Perhaps you should add an example which shows the difference.
