Thank you Stage 32.

I'm a longtime member and a huge fan. I post nearly all of my scripts on Stage 32. I welcome feedback on loglines, synopses, and scripts, because I always have more to learn. Thank you all for your support since 2016! Cheers, Tom

Hi, Tom Stohlgren. Glad to see you at Introduce Yourself Weekend. Hope you're having a great month! What’s your goal for the year?

Tom Stohlgren

I finished my first script for 2026 yesterday. My goal is to write several budget-conscious, compelling scripts that can be filmed almost anywhere for global markets. I remain optimistic and tireless. And good luck to you!

Sam Rivera

Welcome back, Tom Stohlgren, and thank you for your years of contributions! That's an amazing mindset being a longtime member who still actively seeks to learn and share is exactly what makes this community so valuable. Are you working on anything at the moment?

Maurice Vaughan

Congratulations, Tom Stohlgren! That's a great goal! I'm rooting for you! I want to do that with some of my feature scripts. Are there any genres you haven't written that you want to write.

Tom Stohlgren

Maurice Vaughan -- I've stayed away from action movies that rely on violence as a means to settle differences-- So, Marvel, superhero, and most "war" movies are out for me. I like movies where brains beat brawn (Home Alone), and where critical thinking beats unfounded beliefs (Inherit the Wind). I like social justice films (Selma, Just Mercy, Erin Brockovich). And I love a good murder mystery -- We watched all of "Seven Dials" last night -- 5 stars!

Maurice Vaughan and Sam Rivera -- thanks for your support.

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, Tom Stohlgren. What about an Action movie that doesn't rely on violence as a means to settle differences? That could even be the theme.

Tom Stohlgren

Maurice Vaughan The more I think about it, I like exploration films, archaeology, nature, and science films. I'm not into long chase scenes or action that distracts from the storyline. I think that action films that don't rely on weapons and violence are in the minority. A little violence is okay (older James Bond) -- and I really dislike slasher films (especially with female victims) or sexploitation films -- so my list goes on. But I can be surprised by almost any genre if it's a smart film with a social conscience.
