Introduce Yourself : Hi, I'm an author and scriptwriter, this is my introduction by Andy Gilbrook

Hi, I'm an author and scriptwriter, this is my introduction

Hello people, I’m new here and this is my intro.

I have 4 non-fiction books published, they are all stories of my life. 17 years in the intelligence service. I also do talks on my life, always with the best feedback, with people always saying there should be a film.

My story is better than any fictional James Bond, as my adventure is all true. How I got into MI6, some of the stuff I got up to and how it all ended.

The end story is an escape from interrogation in Angola, after facing a firing squad.

I’m very ordinary, I don’t see myself as anything special other than a self-preservation level that comes from just not wanting to give up until its up.

All my books have in the title “An Ordinary Guy” my forth book being the first three rolled into one. The most amazing thing is, I never set out to write a book, rather a full explanation for my wife, who had no idea what I did or went through.

An Ordinary Guy, An Unknown Spy

An Ordinary Guy, Operation Saponify

An Ordinary Guy, A Philippine Spy

An Ordinary Guy, #secretlyjustlikeyou

All written by me Andy Gilbrook.

A script is written, at present its too long, it’s hard to get 17 years down to 90 minutes. There’s a 30 minute promo to prove the concept on director Andy Blithe’s YouTube.

Search “Andy Blithe, An Ordinary Guy” as the film title.

I’d love any feedback, not for Andy Blithe’s film, although I will pass on any to him, but whether I should persue the feature film dream.

You could post your script on your profile. Producers search profiles for projects. That and networking are how I sold four short scripts to a producer. Click the gear symbol in the top right-hand corner and select “Edit profile” in the drop-down menu. Scroll down to “Loglines” and click “Add/edit loglines” to the right of “Loglines.” You can also post your script on your profile this way: www.stage32.com/loglines (near the top where it says “Add a Logline”)

And Stage 32 has feedback services (www.stage32.com/scriptservices).
