Thanks for posting part 3, Robert Levering. Subtext is one of the most important things when writing dialogue in my opinion. It's hard to do it sometimes. Something I do that helps is write the dialogue on the nose, then experiment until I figure out the subtext.

Yes, Maurice Vaughan is right about subtext. It's become one of my favorite tools to use Robert Levering.
