Have there really been 13270 new discussions started in Introduce Yourself since I last visited?

I suppose I need to do a better job networking... I'm a Vancouver-based writer and while I've had some projects produced, I can't seem to break into features despite getting good coverage and placing well in several competitions. Stage32 has so many educational options and I'm wondering which ones I should focus on -- is it a matter of getting an agent/manager? A writing course I can take to make the extra difference that gets writer a "recommended?" Or something else? Curious to see opinions. BTW, a big thanks to the Stage32 folks for hosting this weekend. Hoping this finds everyone well and safe!

Cheers,

Don Hauka

Don Hauka I love your post title! Yup, crazy right? I think if you're getting good coverage and good competition placings, if I may offer this advice, suggest this, start to pitch. I would email success@stage32.com, like Maurice suggested, to start getting some momentum going, and meeting potential collaborators.

Don Hauka

Hi, Juliana: I have done some pitches but I find I get really mixed results. he same pitch might excite one exec and urn another off entirely. Perhaps it has to do with the hour. I try never to take the last spot! They must be tired by then. I will take your and Maurice's advice. Never stop learning is my motto. Hope you're having a great weekend!

"Never stop learnin." Exactly, Don Hauka. I've experienced that when pitching. My pitch excited some people, but turned others off. And that's not just on Stage 32. Great idea to pick an early spot! Keep pitching and networking. I've had a lot of success on here those ways. I met a producer during one Introduce Yourself Weekend and ended up signing a shopping agreement for my game show.
