Hi everyone! My name is Valerio Massimo Filice aka Pilke, a filmmaker and aspiring director from Italy. https://youtu.be/lQRWZQTYbl4?is=d7JAQqa6bu-fVHPb I graduated in Film Production from the University for the Creative Arts in the UK. I also completed a Master’s degree at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. Over the years, I’ve directed and co-directed several short films, while also working across different roles in both live-action and animation projects, including actor, art director, editor, and video artist. I’ve also gained experience as a film editor and set designer in theatre. Some of my works have received recognition at various film festivals, E.g.: RED MOVIE AWARDS. At the moment, I’m finalizing my latest short film Past the Cyrcle, which I hope to develop into a feature film in the future. I’m also starting to write and storyboard a new animated short with the working title DEADMOON. I’m really happy to be part of a space like this and I hope to connect with many creative people to collaborate and grow together. You can find the link to my showreel below. Looking forward to connecting!

Congratulations on such a great creative career! What are you finding are the biggest differences between your theater work and your film work?
Amanda Toney Hi Amanda, first of all, thank you for your interest in and attention to my work.
As for the difference between my work in theatre and that in cinema, I actually try as much as possible not to view them as two separate spheres. I see them rather as two distinct yet interconnected dimensional spaces, almost like two communicating vessels. For this reason, rather than distinguishing between them, I try to create a dialogue between the two languages, allowing one to influence and transform the other. A liminal space between the two dimensions
