What if understanding something was the worst thing you could do?

Hey everyone,

I’m currently co-writing a psychological / cosmic horror feature and wanted to share the project and connect with others.

Working Title: What Was Removed

Logline:

A teenage boy discovers a mysterious tape that shows events that haven’t happened yet. As he tries to understand it, his perception of reality begins to break down—and he becomes part of something that was never meant to be seen.

About the Project:

A slow-burn, atmospheric horror inspired by The King in Yellow and cosmic horror. The focus is on the idea that some things aren’t meant to be understood—and that trying to do so has consequences.

We’re aiming for:

minimalist, unseen horror

reality and perception breaking down

a strong psychological and sound-driven experience

Current Stage:

Advanced draft in progress, currently refining character and ending.

Would love to connect or hear thoughts from others working on similar material.

Thanks!

if you haven’t watched Good Luck Chuck, definitely seems like a Comp. Worth checking out.
