Ch7 Pg 21
(Close-Up)
A close-up of the tailor's hands, shaking as they press against the dirt. He looks down at them, realizing how much the stress and running have taken a toll.
SB Garerit (thought): "I've never felt so drained.”
(Medium Shot)
Several of the former prisoners, now free, come up to the tailor, looking at him with admiration and gratitude. One knight kneels beside him, offering a hand to help him up.
Knight (concerned): "You've done more than enough, my friend. Let us help you.”
Garerit (weakly, smiling): "I... I just need a moment…”
(Wide Shot)
The camera zooms out to show the entire group, all of them standing in a clearing, watching the wreckage of the castle in the distance. The once-floating fortress is now reduced to rubble, with smoke rising from the remains. The group, while tired, is relieved, knowing the danger is finally over.
Garerit (thinking): "It's over... I did it. And they're free.”
(Medium Shot)
Garerit Stands, Facing Colin and the Others, Garerit stumbles to his feet, catching his breath. Colin watches him, relieved, while the others look on, smiling. The wind blows lightly, the tension fading.
GARERIT: (panting) Colin... (pauses, then with sincerity) Thank you. And all of you... I owe you my life.
Goose: HONK HONK!
(Close-Up)
Colin Grinning, Playfully Brushing It Off, Colin grins and playfully dusts off his hands, acting like it was nothing.
COLIN: Hey, what are friends for?
(Full Shot)
Garerit suddenly stumbles forward, his knees giving out as he collapses onto the ground. His body is drained, exhaustion overtaking him.
SFX: THUD!
Goose: HONK!
Ch7 Pg 22
(Medium Shot)
Colin and Others Rushing to Help Garerit, Colin and the others react in alarm, kneeling beside Garerit. The chambermaid gently places a hand on his shoulder as Rodrick checks him over.
CHAMBERMAID: "He's completely exhausted..."
COLIN: "Let's get him in a cart."
(Wide Shot)
The hay cart moves along a dirt road, its wooden wheels creaking softly. The sun casts a golden glow over the landscape. Garerit is lying on his back in the hay, visibly exhausted but resting. Princess Elaine sits beside him, watching him with quiet concern.
SFX: CREEEAK... CLOP CLOP (wagon wheels and horse hooves)
(Close-Up)
Garerit's eyes flutter open, still weary. Strands of hay stick to his messy hair. The soft rustling of the hay and the gentle sway of the cart make the moment feel peaceful despite his fatigue.
GARERIT: (groggy) "Where..?"
(Medium Shot)
Elaine looks down at him, a small smile of relief on her face, her eyes are kind and filled with gratitude.
PRINCESS ELAINE: "You're safe, Garerit. Rest now... You've done so much already."
(Close-Up)
Garerit exhales deeply, his body sinking further into the hay as exhaustion fully takes hold of him again. A hint of a smile appears on his lips as he listens to Elaine's soothing voice.
SB GARERIT: (weakly, but content) "Alright..."
A close-up of Garerit's face, looking up at the sky as the sun begins to set. A peaceful, yet weary expression on his face, as he takes a deep breath.
Garerit (softly): "I couldn't have done it without them..."
