Ch8 Pg 7
(Wide Shot)
The group, led by Garerit, sneaks forward toward the dam, taking advantage of the giants' distraction. The giants continue to fight in the background, completely oblivious to the group's advance. The group moves swiftly, carefully making their way closer to the dam while the giants are still caught up in their brawl.
Garerit (commanding): "Keep moving. We're almost there.”
(Wide Shot)
The scene opens with the two giants continuing their fierce battle, now fully engaged in a violent confrontation. They are locked in combat, smashing trees and rocks as they trade blows. The forest is in chaos, with the ground shaking and debris flying everywhere. The giants are so consumed by anger that they no longer notice anything around them, including the approaching group of knights.
Giant 1 (shouting): "You woke me up, you fool!”
Giant 2 (growling): "I'll teach you a lesson for disturbing my peace!”
(Close-Up)
The giants' fists locked in combat, one giant using his massive strength to shove the other back, while the other swings a boulder toward the first. Their facial expressions are twisted in rage as they try to overpower each other.
Giant 1 (gritting teeth): "You'll regret messing with me!”
Giant 2 (snarling): "No one gets away with waking me up!”
(Action Shot)
Giants Charging Toward Each Other, the tension builds as the giants, seeing no one else around, begin to assume that the other is to blame for everything that has happened. They lunge at each other with full force. The ground shakes as they collide once more, using their enormous strength to try to crush each other.
Giant 1 (yelling): "You were the one who threw the first rock!”
Giant 2 (yelling back): "Liar! You started this!”
(Action Shot)
A wide, dramatic shot shows the giants locked in a brutal, life-or-death struggle. The Fight Escalates and the two are so focused on each other that they no longer care about anything else- trees are snapped in half, the earth quakes under their blows, and the air is thick with the sound of their battle. The image is chaotic, with the two giants towering over the landscape, seemingly unstoppable in their rage.
Giant 1 (roaring): "I'll crush you!”
Giant 2 (snarling): "This ends now!"
Ch8 Pg 8
(Close-Up)
Both giants, in their fury, land a devastating blow to one another. Giant 1 strikes Giant 2 in the face, while Giant 2 hits Giant 1 in the chest with an immense fist. The impact is so great that both giants stagger, their vision blurred and their strength waning.
Giant 1 (panting, blood trickling from his mouth): "You... you'll never win…"
Giant 2 (grinning weakly): "... I will... if I have to take you down…"
(Open)
The final panel shows both giants exhausted and battered from their battle, with blood staining the ground beneath them. Neither of the giants seems able to stand any longer, and the final blow from both sides causes them to collapse simultaneously. The ground rumbles as they fall to the earth, the forest shaking with their weight. Both giants breathe their last breath, and the once-mighty beings lie defeated, the forest silent once again.
Giant 1 (barely conscious, whispering): "I... I didn't want this…"
Giant 2 (weakly): "Neither... neither did I…"
(Open)
The next panel shows Garerit and the group of knights reaching the dam, unaware of the giants' death struggle taking place just beyond their sight. The battle between the giants has cleared the path for them to approach undetected. The group moves carefully, avoiding any signs of the chaos left behind by the battle.
Garerit (whispering to the group): "Stay quiet. We're almost there.”
(Full Shot)
The scene opens with the tailor and his group approaching the dam, only to encounter Garna, the giant he met previously while traveling to the castle. Garna stands tall and imposing, blocking their path, his face twisted in a scowl as he towers over the group. Garerit stands confidently in front of Garna, smirking as he prepares to taunt the giant.
Garna (grumbling): "So, it's you again. What's this? You think you can walk through here unscathed?” what are you doing here
(Close-Up)
Close-up of the tailor, who looks unfazed by the giant's threatening posture. His smirk grows wider as he prepares to taunt Garna. Garerit's words hang in the air as Garna leans in, confused but intrigued.
Garerit (mocking): "Ah, Garna. I see you've survived... but I suppose you haven't heard the news.” funny meeting you here
(Close-Up)
Garna's expression shifts from anger to confusion as he stares down at the tailor. His brows furrow as he attempts to understand the tailor's words. The scene focuses on Garna's large, weathered face as he tries to process what the tailor is saying.
Garna (gruffly): "What news? What are you talking about, Garerit?”

A few points to tighten up
(Wide Shot) => Unless this is the shooting script and you're shooting it, do not include shots. Your prose should imply the placement of the camera. Writer's write, directors direct.
The group, led by Garerit, sneaks (passive)
taking advantage of the giants' distraction. (telling)
The giants continue to fight in the background (explaining not narrating aka telling)
completely oblivious to the group's advance.
The group moves swiftly (telling/weak. Why not races/slinks/scurries/etc),
carefully making their way (wordy)
the giants are still caught up in their brawl. (summarizing)
Garerit (commanding): => directing
(Wide Shot)
The scene opens with => scrub all of these phrases that's what slugs are for.
As the ScriptFella* would say - this is all instruction manual.
For comparison, I've taken a scene from page 7 or my unpublished script:
INT. ENGLISH MANOR BEDROOM - EVENING
The leather "Wyrmfeld Chronicles" snaps shut. PENDRAGON XX (50s) stands in a bespoke 1940s suit in ATLAS (10) room. Pendragon's ice-blue eyes gaze through leaded glass. In the soft gloaming lay the distant ruins of Castle Wyrmfeld.
Sentence 1 implies a close up. How would one know the title of the book.
Sentence 2 would need to be an establishing medium-wide/cowboy shot, etc.
Sentence 3 would need to be an extreme close up.
Sentence 4 would need to be a wide shot.
HTH
* great teacher not cheap, but worth every penny.
Keep at it!.
James Fleming Thanks for the help, hard to break the novel writer and comic book script writer in me.
