I'm excited!
Have spent the last few weeks developing two connected psychological short films: Resonance and Cohesion.Both explore identity, perception, emotional contagion, and the unsettling space between psychological horror and human vulnerability.
What started as a contained concept has slowly evolved into something much more visual and atmospheric — movement-driven blocking, controlled lighting, practical sound design, and performances that rely heavily on tension rather than exposition.
Currently deep in:
* visual development
* proof-of-concept planning
* movement/choreography ideas
* sound experimentation
* funding prep
One of my favourite parts of the process so far has been realising how much horror can exist in restraint and stillness.
Curious if anyone else here has explored movement direction, psychological sound design, or “contained-space tension” in short films. Would love to hear what worked for you.
Looking to connect with fellow psychological thriller / elevated horror filmmakers, U.K. based.
... Yes, Emilia, "Elevator Pitch", if it worked? I Iike to think so...
