Introduce Yourself : Building Worlds Through Storytelling | Screenwriter Re-Introduction by Gurpreet Singh

Hi everyone,

I’m Gurpreet Singh, a screenwriter and visual storyteller from India with a creative background in graphic design, video editing, motion graphics, content writing, social media marketing and relationship management. Working across multiple creative fields has shaped my storytelling style to be highly visual, emotionally grounded, and cinematic in approach.

Over the past year, I’ve been focused on developing my feature screenplay THE HIMALAYAN GATE — a fantasy/adventure story set against the backdrop of the Himalayas, blending mythology, mystery, action, and emotional character arcs. The screenplay is currently completed and actively being positioned for industry consideration.

As a writer, I’m drawn to stories that combine large-scale concepts with strong emotional stakes — particularly within fantasy, sci-fi, mystery, thriller, crime, and psychologically driven narratives. I’m especially fascinated by stories exploring hidden worlds, human psychology, mythology, and transformative character journeys.

Beyond screenwriting, I’m also interested in eventually stepping into directing and acting as part of my long-term creative path. My favourite actors are - Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert Downey Jr, Michael Fassbender, Cillian Murphy, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, Tom Hardy Logan Lerman, Jon Bernthal, Michael Peña, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Tobey Maguire, Jake Gyllenhaal, Patrick Wilson, Vera Farmiga, Taissa Farmiga, Lin Shaye, Karl Urban, Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins, Annabelle Wallis, Sharukh khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Salman Khan, Amir Khan, Shraddha Kapoor

Music is another major source of inspiration for me — from cinematic composers like Hans Zimmer and Steven Price to artists including Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, Anne-Marie, Katy Perry, Diljit Dosanjh, Jazzy B, Shubh, Ap Dhillion, Imran Khan, Arijit Singh, KK, Abhijeet Bhattacharya, Sidhu Moose Wala,

Karan Aujla.
