Hi everyone, I’m Ryan Vinson, founder of VersusMedia and creator of FilmPilot.ai.
I’ve been working at the intersection of technology, media, and independent film for more than 20 years. I started VersusMedia in 2001 to help indie filmmakers get their work seen outside the traditional gatekeeping system, and today it includes hundreds of films, shorts, and music videos across Roku, Apple TV, iOS, Android, and the web.
More recently, I launched FilmPilot.ai, a filmmaking support platform that helps screenwriters, producers, and independent creators turn scripts into practical development and production materials, including audience feedback, storyboards, budget estimates, casting breakdowns, production planning tools, festival strategy, and more.
I’m here to connect with filmmakers, writers, producers, and creators who are building original projects and looking for practical ways to develop, promote, and distribute their work. I’m especially interested in how technology can support independent film without replacing the creative voice behind it.
