Screenwriting : Writing Multiple Scripts?! by Emilia-Maria

Writing Multiple Scripts?!

I'm currently a third of the way through one film (which is a part of my wider universe of work all under one banner, then that's that lot done), and just started another, which is separate but still in the same vein of psychological horror.

The latter I'm actually quite excited to share, as it's not my usual theme (folk horror, think Midsommar in style, but sea-based, not land. And a little less 'culty'! A little Guillermo del Toro).

Think I may have to put the logline on my profile, this is my next project and it definitely fills me with excitement!

Anyone else working on multiple scripts at the moment? How are you finding it?!

I am working on two things right now. I am polishing up one and the started another. I tend to focus on one until I get to the polishing stage and then start the next one I have in my “queue”. I have 5 stories I intend to write. just started number 3. All of them are very different from each other.

in all honesty I’m not exactly sure what I want to do with all this writing. I’ll enter some contests and stuff but I mainly write because I have something to say or if there is a life question that’s bugging me.

Either way I’m having fun and hope to share these stories with as many people as I can.

I’m also technically working on multiple projects at once, what I like about it is that if you’re stuck on one, you can work on another and sometimes that even helps you get unstuck. I try to do different genres when I’m multitasking so it’s easier on my brain than doing them all in the same one (which I’m technically doing right now though they don’t all feel like the same genre).
