Greetings from Istanbul – Screenwriter & Novelist

Hello everyone,

My name is Nasrin Jafari. I am a screenwriter and novelist based in Istanbul, Türkiye.

I am currently developing a feature film inspired by a true story about autism, family, resilience, and personal transformation.

As both a writer and a mother, this project is very close to my heart.

I look forward to connecting with fellow writers, producers, directors, and filmmakers from around the world.

Wishing everyone success and inspiration in their creative journey

welcome Nasrin. Your project sounds both meaningful and deeply personal. Stories that explore autism, family, and resilience can have such a powerful impact when told with authenticity. Wishing you all the best as you develop the feature, and I'd like to connect with you.

Laura Sarah

I’d love to stay connected. Are you mainly focused on screenwriting right now, or are you also working on the novel version?

Nasrin Jafari

Thank you so much, Laura. I truly appreciate your kind words and support. At the moment, my main focus is on developing the screenplay. The story was originally inspired by personal experiences, and I believe it has strong potential as a feature film. However, I am also open to exploring a novel version in the future. I would be happy to stay connected and learn more about your work as well.

Welcome Nasrin! A story rooted in autism, family and resilience inspired by real events is exactly the kind of deeply personal filmmaking that resonates with audiences on a level that goes far beyond entertainment. The fact that you're both a writer and a mother bringing this story to life gives it an authenticity that can't be manufactured. Looking forward to seeing where this project goes and connecting with you here.

hi Nasrin,

Sounds like an interesting project. I just finished a script where the main character, a hero is on the spectrum. He’s eight and set in ‘67, a time when they did not have a medical name for autism. best of luck with your project.

I would be happy to read and provide notes on your pages when you get there.

Nasrin Jafari Welcome to Stage 32, Nasrin.

Your project sounds both meaningful and deeply personal. I believe some of the most powerful stories come from lived experiences, especially when they explore themes like family, resilience, and personal transformation.

I also appreciate that you're approaching this not only as a screenwriter but as a mother. That personal perspective can bring a level of authenticity that audiences genuinely connect with.

Wishing you every success with your feature film, and I hope you find wonderful collaborators to help bring this important story to the screen.

Nasrin Jafari
