Screenwriting : Trying to get my movie casted. by Kaylon Langford

Kaylon Langford

Trying to get my movie casted.

How do I get my movie out in front of producers?

Sandra Isabel

Hey Kaylon, this is Sandra from the Stage 32 team. I just wanted to let you know I moved your post from Producing to Screenwriting, as it fits much better there. Let me know if you have any questions, and all the best to you!

Göran Johansson

Kaylon, turn your screenplay into a play. When it has become a success at your local amateur theatre, it will become easier for you to sell the screenplay.

Taylor, since you want more clients. I have produced 22 hours of no-budget projects for public access television stations. Including 3 TV movies. Last year an Australian production company told me that they would try to find financing for the screenplay which is uploaded as part of my profile here. I have not heard from them for 6 months, so if you want to sell it, that would be great. And I have more ideas. Sweden't public service television company likes another idea (5 hours for children) and a Swedish production company also likes it.

Kaylon Langford

So what should I do as of right now to get it seen?

Göran Johansson

Ask your local group with no-budget filmmakers to help you create a trailer to show professionals. You will presumably be forced to pay a small amount of money for this. So one alternative is that you use AI. But asking humans for help is better.

Kaylon Langford

Okay thanks but it’s in the screenplay. Do I give them my screenplay?

Göran Johansson

Most production companies in USA will only read your screenplay if you have an agent. Exceptions are largely those which produce movies with a very small budget. For example those which produce for video or television respectively minority groups. But you can also try to sell it in other countries.

How do I get an agent?

Taylor Ashford

Hello Kaylon Langford

I'm a literary agent who works with a network of producers and helps writers connect with the right industry professionals to move their projects forward.

If you're interested in exploring opportunities to bring your film to life, I'd be happy to connect. Feel free to send me a direct message, and let's discuss your project.

Lucan Virel

Kaylon Langford As a literary agent, I work closely with authors and producers to help bring stories to life and connect great material with the right opportunities. If you're interested in exploring representation or collaboration, I'd love to hear from you feel free to send me a DM. Looking forward to connecting!

GJ Harvey

You can either make it yourself or win/place in a big competition that either draws attention or helps with querying.

Robert Zwerneman

Kaylon Langford I seriously doubt Lucan Virel can do what he suggests. Lucan won't answer my question as to which agency he's with since he doesn't show up anywhere as a bona fide literary agent. And Aven appears to cut and pastes text from AI engines. Be careful. I wouldn't share anything with them.

Göran Johansson

Ashley and Taylor, since Robert became suspicious about Aven and Lucan (those two who are new members just as you two), please tell something which makes it clear that you are real. Because we have many scammers here.

Robert Zwerneman

Göran Johansson The charlatans don't reply. They just move on to the next lamb. Have Scam Will Travel.

Göran Johansson

Robert, I understand what you mean. Fortunately, scammers leave traces. And sometimes they do mistakes. So if they continue long enough, they are caught. And many of them in all probability suffers from some mental illness which makes it impossible for them to stop until they are caught.
