I'm hoping to tap into the expertise of the audio engineers in the Post-Production Lounge.
I've been experiencing an incredible amount of crashes in Pro Tools, and I've exhausted most of the troubleshooting steps I know. I have already completed a full reinstall of Pro Tools and am still experiencing the same issues, so I wanted to see if anyone here has run into something similar.
System Specs:
MacBook Pro (Apple Silicon)
macOS 15.7.7
Pro Tools Studio 25.12.1
Running under Rosetta (x86-64 translated)
At this point, the crashes are inconsistent. Sometimes Pro Tools will crash immediately when opening a session, while other times I can work for a period of time before it suddenly crashes.
One workaround I’ve discovered is that if I remove the project/session from the desktop and then move it back, the issue seems to temporarily resolve itself long enough for me to get some work done. However, the crashes eventually return, so it feels like there may be another underlying issue.
Has anyone experienced something similar or found a reliable solution? If you're knowledgeable with Pro Tools on Apple Silicon and would be willing to help troubleshoot, I’d really appreciate your insight.
I'm open to any suggestions, whether it's plugin compatibility, cache/database issues, Rosetta-related quirks, session corruption, file permissions, or something else I may have overlooked.
Thanks in advance!
