Yep, I think I’ve finally nailed it. The real spark here is the psychology, but if you read between the lines, what I’m actually talking about is The Versions We Perceived,a limited series that’s just about ready to make its debut. It’s a bit of a balancing act: letting people in on the project without veering into straight-up promo mode. Honestly, I haven’t been around much lately. Life and classes have both been throwing curveballs my way (school especially has kept me busy).
But something odd happened during Psych 101, not what you’d expect from an intro class. Out of nowhere, this story started taking shape in my head.. At first, it didn’t look anything like what it would eventually become. The more we dug into perception, how two folks can live through identical events, but walk away with wildly different takeaways, the more the story morphed and grew legs of its own. Before I knew it, it had evolved into a psychological relationship drama called The Versions We Perceived.
Here’s where things get interesting: what began as a single idea spun out into this limited series told from shifting perspectives,a format where discovering someone else’s “truth” actually reshapes how viewers interpret scenes they thought they already understood.. Now.
Great to see you back, Crystal! I love that a Psych 101 class sparked an entirely new series and way of looking at perspective.
I also see you’re a Writers’ Room member, so definitely take advantage of everything you have there — the weekly Wednesday webcasts, Thursday Pitch Practice and Pitch Sessions, Open Writing Assignments, and the Writers’ Room Lounge. With THE VERSIONS WE PERCEIVED getting close to ready, those are fantastic ways to get feedback, practice talking about the series, meet other writers and connect with industry professionals.
Keep us posted on the project!
