Hey everyone! Just sharing a new cinematic cue from my project Proteus Noir.
The track is called "Creatures" a slow, heavy, and oppressive analog piece built specifically to sit under dialogue for thriller, sci-fi, and horror scenes. The concept blurs the line between score and sound design, using one note, one groove, and breathing textures to build subconscious tension.
It’s completely hardware-driven, blending the Moog Sub37 for the bass foundation with the SOMA Lyra-8 for unstable, organic drone textures.
Best, :)

I like the textures. What would make the final note more powerful is if there's more of a buildup of dissonance in the middle of the track before it resolves back to the home-key. There are hints of it, as well as the modulation away from the home-key for a moment, but I'd love to hear it go even weirder. One trick would be to employ two keys simultaneously, like A and E-flat--or drift from tonality completely--giving the viewer/listener a sense of having no idea what key it's in until the final resolution.

Thanks for the awesome feedback! I really glad you like the textures. I love the idea of making the middle section way weirder and pushing the dissonance further. Experimenting with bitonality especially that A and E-flat contrast sounds like a killer way to lose the listener before the final resolution. I’m definitely going to dive back into the project and push those boundaries. Thanks for the killer tip!

I respect folks like you who write all-hardware pieces like this. Very dark and intense. Fits the scene really well.
